If it has airprint feature (check it here:--> About AirPrint - Apple Support ), you set it up connecting it to the same wifi network where your iPhone is connected to.

Would it be one of the following specific models?
If so, it would be supporting the driverless AirPrint technology. As ProustGiulio already mentioned, you could print from the iPhone on the same Wi-Fi network.There is an AirPrint guide from Canon UK that perhaps could be of interest to you:
