Back up photos to iPhone from MacBook

Hi,

I should go to system preferences/Apple ID/iCloud - you may see the application, which uses an iCloud storage a you could manage it.

Or you can use AirDrop.

What exactly do you mean by "back up"? Do you wish to transfer the photos from your device to a MacBook, and specifically what part of the MacBook? Are the photos in iCloud on the device or solely on-device?
