AppleCare Plus+ or with Theft & Loss

If you have AppleCare+, can you upgrade to Theft & Lost with in the 60 day period? Got the 12 Pro Max as a Xmas gift and opted for just the Apple Care+ plan. Having a change of mind now. The wording on Apple's site is kind of confusing on this topic.

You might be able to, but only AppleCare Plan administration can tell you. If you're in the US, call 800-MY-APPLE and ask for AppleCare Plan administration.
