How do I transfer music from a CD to my iPhone (10 XR) WITHOUT a laptop?

But I already own the music (CD’s) and don’t want to pay for my own music. All I want to do is transfer music from a CD to my phone. I can’t believe it’s that hard.
About the only way I know of would be to subscribe to Apple Music. Then the CDs would become irrelevant, but your entire music collection (and much more) would always be available to you as long as you continue to subscribe.
Then you have to get a computer, put iTunes in it, rip the CD and load it onto the phone. The phone can't read the CD by itself nor can it operate a CD drive.
