How Do I Get Rid of Phantom Photos On My Watch?

The most recent update requires 2.7 gigs of space. I have 2.4 available on my watch. I've deleted everything I can. My watch and my phone both say there are 11 photos on my watch. When I click on the photos app on my watch, there's nothing there. I don't have a photos album associated with my watch. I don't want to reset the watch to factory because I don't want to lose my exercise data.

Unpair your Apple Watch via the Watch app on your iPhone.

Then Re-pair your Apple Watch, this frees up a surprisingly large amount of storage space. And without any loss of data.
