$500 gift card problem

Really annoyed, tried to buy a gift card for my wife. Wasted over an hour trying to do this.

Everytime I tried to complete the purchase needed to input a smart code from my bank to complete purchase. However, the window to input the code closes and I never complete the purchase. The window will not stay open long enough for me to input the code. Tried several different credit cards all the same behavior. What is apple doing!

Never did buy the gift card. Not able to complete the purchase.
