Watch won’t even turn on

Ok, so my watch is probably about four years old. And it’s been sitting in my nightstand drawer for the past year. I’d really like to put it to use now. So tried to charge. Except for a random white Apple appearing occasionally my Apple Watch will not turn on. I’ve tried charging it in all different ways using the original charger cable for the past 24 hours. The little white Apple will randomly show up but no charging bolt. It won’t respond if I shut it down. It won’t respond if I try to turn it on. Just nothing little black screen with an occasional apple appearing when it’s on the charger.
