Got an email Your new device includes Apple TV free for 1 year. when i click, it says it is free for 7 days. What is going on?

The offer is valid for those who purchase qualifying hardware (Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) from Apple or an authorized reseller. It will remain valid for 3 months after device activation. The offer needs to be claimed within the TV app directly on the new device, not by using a link. The steps have been posted below for reference. If that is done and there is still an issue then contact Apple support.
- Turn on your new Apple device and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Open the Apple TV app. Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS.
- The offer should be presented immediately after launching the app. If not, go to the Apple TV+ channel page where you’ll see the offer.
- Tap Enjoy 1 Year Free.
