Admin password won't disable

Mac Mini running OS Catalina 10.15.7

Whenever we have a power failure and I'm forced to reboot my Mac, it keeps asking for the admin password even though I've gone through the steps to disable it.

ie; System Settings, Security & Privacy, General, Password Required tab is unchecked!

So why does the password request keep coming up after I've disabled it?

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

Is Filevault enabled? A password is always required when Filevault is enabled.

Are you using your AppleID to login or manage the Mac? If so it may be like your iOS mobile device that requires a password after a restart even when you use TouchID.
