Installing macOS Big Sur on Macbook Air
Just got a new Macbook Air. Where do I install macOS Big Sur? On the Data or Macintosh HD? It's asking me where and I don't know.

Macintosh HD is your macOS system disk, that's the install location. But a new Mac should have come with Big Sur, or if not then you can upgrade using System Preferences > Software Update.
