Iphone 6 wifi issue

My iPhone 6 only connects to wifi when it is inches away from the router. If I take a step back, i will get an error "unable to join network" or "incorrect password"

Anyone experience similar?

Either the router or the phone needs repairing.

Without more evidence we cannot tell which.

iPhone won't connect to wifi (but everything else is connected) Out of the blue my iPhone started giving an "incorrect wifi password" message when connecting to my home network-- even when the password was shared from my iPad (which was connected to the wifi). I turned it off a couple times, and asked it to forget the network once. Still won't connect.
