Ios upgrade from 12.5 to 14.3

I have an iphone 6Plus with Ios Version 12.5 and want to update to 14.3 without success.

I couldn t connect it to my new Apple watch

That model can not be updated to iOS 13, or 14. It can not be used with a new watch.
