folders on desktop heve shifted to the right and offscreen

when I opened my i mac this morning and entered my password the screened shifted to the right and some folders are offscreen.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

First, let’s try restarting your Mac. If it still does that, let’s reset the NVRAM, as described here: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac.
