hey, when i put audio into iMovie there is no sound and no visible sound on the file in green

Hi, Sniche_1,
It could be that the song is copyright protected.
Also, try clicking on the Settings button above the timeline to the right and, in the box that appears, make sure that Audio: Show Waveforms is checked. Do you now see waveforms in the green clip?
To cover the bases, make sure that the sound is not muted. Does the song play on your desktop?
