Apple watch

I bought an Apple Watch second hand and I am unable to un pair it the person I bought the watch from doesn’t have the phone anymore, I have tried to do a factory reset but it’s not working. Can anyone help me so the watch isn’t in usable

The person you bought the watch off has to follow these steps;

It says when I try to pair...pair with phone in mediatek smart device first, I don’t understand what that means and if that’s why I can’t pair it with my phone.

They can’t do any of those steps as they don’t have the phone anymore that they paired the watch with

There's a section in the link I posted that tells you what to do if you no longer have the phone that the watch was paired too.
