Managing Icloud

I have an iphone and a pc. All photos from iphone are on my icloud. I want to delete photos from the iphone because my storage is full, but I want them to stay on icloud, how can I do this? I dont want to transfer them to the pc because I guess I will lose live photos? Should I make another apple id and then somehow transfer photos between accounts?

icloud photos I have 3 different iphones on my account and I need to replace one. I just recently started using icloud photos but I found out that I can not delete any photos without removing them from icloud. Can I back up all the devices to icloud, then on the device I need to trade in, set it to not be on icloud anymore so that I can remove all files without losing the photos I had stored in icloud from that device? or do I need to download all the photos from icloud to my PC first so theres a hard copy and then delete them from the phone?

iCloud I have backed up all my photos on the cloud so they are now being shared with Macbook on iCloud photos, however I also uploaded all my photos from my old laptop onto the cloud so they are now on my MacBook and my iPhone. I was wondering if there was a way to delete selected pictures on my iPhone but keep them on the cloud and my MacBook photos? I have turned off iCloud photos on my Mac and all other iCloud settings, my phone is also the same however I couldn't turn off icloud photos because it would delete literally all my photos on my phone instead of specific ones, I tried to download copies but I don't have enough iCloud storage. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you !

If you delete the photos on the device, they will be deleted on all your devices as that’s how iCloud works and was designed.
