I made an order for a Macbook Air on the 11th of December, and I was emailed that the order is being processed. The strange thing is that no money was withdrawn from my credit card, and I haven't received any updates about the state of my order. Upon checking the page, I still get the processing message with an arriving quote being from 29th of December to 6th of January. I am not sure whether that is normal or that my order couldn't process due to an error?
That is normal. It will stay in the Processing status until shortly before it ships and your credit card will also be charged just before it ships.
When Apple ships the item, they will send you an email with an anticipated arrival date, as well as tracking information. At that time they will charge your method of payment.
Does that mean the quoted arrival time on the order page could differ from the anticipated arrival date in the email?
I have found Apple shipping times to be quite accurate, but when they actually ship the date given will be an actual date, not a range of several days.
