can I use my sim card from my iPhone SE in a new iPhone 12 mini?

Typically one would say yes, but since iPhone 12 is 5G capable, it would be advisable to get a new sim card from your cellular provider which has been provisioned for 5G Service.

I am just using 1 phone number, not using duel sim cards

in the past I did swap sim card to new phone and you avoid the cost of activation.

in this case, worth the extra $ to be sure
