airdrop on mac
My airdrop doesn't work on my 2013 MAC OS X. It appears in finder but doesn't find any devices nearby. Am I missing a step to get this active? I'd like to be able to drop files from my iphone

What macOS version is installed? AirDrop requies Yosemite OS 10.10 or higher. There are other requirements shown in the last paragraph in this Apple article:
