Having trouble with installing macOS Big Sur

I am having trouble installing macOS Big Sur on my MacBook air. I have enough storage but it just says that "macOS Big Sur can not be installed on my harddrive"?

Can anyone help me with this?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Please check this Apple webpage and make sure to check if the laptop qualifies for Big Sur and read on about Empty Space Requirements,
