I can't login to iMessage after updating mac os to Big Sur on my iMac 5K 2019

After I have updated my iMac I can't log in to iMessage, when I type my Apple ID credentials I get spinning loader and nothing happens, sometimes I get an error message: "An unknown error occurred

". This is happening only on this device.

P.S. - I was already logged in to iMessage before updating to Mac OS Big Sur, after updating it logged me out. My Apple ID region is Serbia.

iMac 27″, macOS 11.1

Hello mreed,

Thanks for your help, I have done that and the issue is fixed. But I think I found the problem when I tried to log in to iMessage and FaceTime I was prompted to select a Region, in that list of regions my country - Serbia is missing(picture below), and my Apple ID is registered to that country, also it is important because of numbers recognition. So I had no other option but to select some other country. I guess this is the problem because my country is supported for Apple ID, AppStore, and all other stuff except iMessage and FaceTime. I guess this is a bug because all other regions that recently got AppleID support(same time as my country) are fully supported with iMessage and FaceTime, for example, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I have also tried to contact Apple Support directly but again my region is not on the country list and I have no available options to reach them.

Best regards,

Petar
