Owner Passed Away

What if the person who own the device is gone or passed away. What option do we have? My uncle passed away this year and I am trying to restore his phone. Will you be able to help me?

Do you know the passcode for the phone? If so, you can put it into iTunes and erase it from there

No you can’t. You need the password for the Apple ID, not the iPhone’s passcode.
