migration assist

I have the new version of Mac OS Big Sur on my mac. I have a new tablet microsoft that I am trying to transfer data to my mac. however, on installing the program for migration asisst on my microsoft tablet I can only see the migration assist for Catalina, not big sur. The mac book will not allow migration becuase it is running big sur. how to get this to work?
