What iOS is on the iPhone 6s? If you have the newer iOS, anything higher than 12.4.9, you will not be able to transfer the data to an iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 cannot run an iOS higher than 12.4.9, but the iPhone 6s can run up to 14.2. So, if you backup the 6s with 14.2, you cannot restore that to the iPhone 6 with 12.4.9.
