Alternative to Pages with Mojave

I have a iMac 27 Retina and I have reformatted the SSD to return to Mojave because Catalina was somewhat buggy, lost some features, and of course killed me on using my full Adobe CS6 Suite. Anyway, the problem I have is that it appears that Pages is no longer operational on my Mac and when I went to the App Store, it said Pages will only work with Catalina on an SSD iMac. Kinda weird isn't that?

So what are my alternatives for a word processor which can include photographs? Its not that I'm writing a book, but I am rebuilding a vintage car and I'd like to document everything I'm doing with photographs when necessary.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Mike

You can launch and sign into the Mac App Store with your Apple ID. Press ⌘+0 (zero) to open the past purchases panel. If Pages is available there, you can attempt to open/update it, and see if it will be compassionate, and install Pages v10.3.1, the last version for Mojave. It will probably tell you that you cannot install Pages v10.3.5 because it requires Mojave, and then you are done with installing Pages onto your Mac.

If you have a Time Machine backup of Mojave before you upgraded to Catalina, then you have a means to restore the version of Pages that was installed at that last backup.

Periodically, and this is historical, Apple will release versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote that require a certain minimum operating system for installation. Today, with Pages and Numbers v10.3.5, and Keynote v10.3.8, that is Catalina. Apple does not provide full installers of past versions of these applications for user downloads.

Alternatively, you can use Pages for iCloud with your existing Pages, Numbers, and Keynote documents on your Mac.

You can use the free, 64-bit version of LibreOffice, which as an Office clone, will allow you to add images to your documents. The individual application user guide documents are located here. LibreOffice does not open Pages documents newer than Oct 2013.
