My Gmail box is bulging with in-process drafts automatically save to it, apparently by a Mac mail preference I cannot change. All advice I've found has been to go to Mail Preferences, click on the account, then go to Mailbox Behaviors and uncheck the "save drafts to server" box. All of which I'd be happy to do, but there is NO such box! (I'm currently running the Catalina OS.)

In Mail hover your mouse over any section to reveal the + here you can add mailboxes
If it is not coming into view—exit full screen mode and try again.
