PowerBook G4

I have PowerBook G4 and I want to upgrade to the latest software. I heard snow leopard is the last 1

No, Leopard (10.5) was the last macOS to run on the Powerbooks and the final models were discontinued in 2006. Snow Leopard was Apple's first OS to run only on Intel Macs. You failed to state which model Powerbook you have. If it's one of the earliest G4 models it won't go beyond Tiger (10.4).


Leopard was released in the era when Apple sold upgrade discs (at a modest price). You'll need to look for a used copy of the retail Leopard install disc from online vendors. There is some good advice in this thread about acquiring the installer disc.
