Spotlight does not showing any results after Big Sur update. All the search options are active though...

Big Sur Spotlight not showing local content Since upgrading to Big Sur, Spotlight is only showing Internet search hits. No local content is shown at all (documents, apps etc.). I have checked all settings in the Spotlight System preferences and unchecked and rechecked all items. Also, I added the HD not to be indexed and removed it again to trigger index rebuild. It did not help. Any suggestions to fix it?

spotlight search not working I just upgraded my macOS Big Sur to V 11.2.3 and my spotlight search is not working. Is there a delay before I can use it? Anyone know why spotlight search is not working or what action I should take to fix?

Big Sur hides Spotlight Since upgrading to Big Sur "Spotlight" is no longer in my menu bar at the top. I can still hit command space bar and get it but I can't tell you the number of times I go to the top right and the Spotlight icon is not there. Any help would be appreciated.

Same here. If I enter a keyword into spotlight search it sometimes shows a progress bar indicating it is "indexing", but that never competes. Even after several days.
