i can not open system preference on my laptop. I click it but it does nothing. I have tried from both the docking bar and the apple upper left.
Any help?
Its an older mac 2009. I am trying to change computer to a new mac book!!

If Screen Time is on, this could restrict access to certain System Preferences on the Mac. Here is an article to follow on steps to help resolve this issue:
