Can't download Mojave from App Store

I currently run Sierra 10.12.6 and want to upgrade to Mojave in order to use some of my newly purchased apps on Creative Cloud. I don't want to upgrade to Catalina yet because of losing ProTools plugins. I've followed the link posted in several articles to the App Store Mojave download but keep getting the error message:

"This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can’t be used to install macOS"

Is there another way to get the download or make that one work?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.12

I spoke too soon. After deleting and downloading a fresh copy it downloaded the entire file and then gave me the error message at the very end and also when I try to open it. So still in same situation.

You do need to have a reliable Internet connection, Dreamschooldiary. A wired connection is preferred, as opposed to Wi-Fi.

Also, make sure you are using Safari to access and download the installer.

Firefox is, apparently, known to cause trouble. (I don’t know that firsthand, only from advice I have read from others.)

Choose Applications from the Finder's Go menu, throw the existing installer away, and download a fresh copy.

Delete the installer and try again while in Safe Mode.
