I received an alert stating that adobe flash player is ending as of December 31st, 2020. What software will be installed/updated to replace the adobe flash player?

Why do you need a replacement? There will be no Flash content. Developers were notified about the end of life of Flash 3 years ago. If a site has not removed their Flash content in favor of HTML5 and newer technologies then the site will no longer work or be relevant.

Nothing. Flash is an Adobe product. All flash content will cease to function at the end of the year. Adobe killed the product off.

They announced it in July of 2017.
