Antivirus Protection for MacBook Pro

Do I need Norton Antivirus/360 or any other antivirus software for my MacBook Pro? I'm running MacOS Big Sur 11.0.1 and my subscription is running out soon. I've had Norton for years on all of my Macs, but other Mac users think it's unnecessary. I use my Mac for Adobe CC apps, MS Office, web apps, general browsing, shopping, etc. ... nothing out of the ordinary. I'd be grateful for any insight. Thanks!

Third party is not recommended, typically it adds nothing but issues and competes directly w/ Apples own built in security.

THIS Mac user thinks it is utter garbage. How could any third-party know more about how to protect your Mac than Apple Internal developers.

Apple is not holding out on you. if there were anything additional that could be done to provide protection that is Measurably better (and does not just waste resources incessantly reading your files for antique Windows Viruses) it would already be included in the box.
