iMac keeps restarting after going to sleep after Big Sur update

Not sure what the issue is. Every time I login it says the iMac restarted because of a problem.

I know everyone has been hanging on the edge of their seat wondering how this got solved... 😝

I removed everything external on my iMac except for the wired Apple keyboard (numeric) and the Apple Magic Mouse (the black one, not sure the version).

I'm not sure what caused the issue, but this is what was hooked up:

  • Apple CD Burner
  • Apple Thunderbolt Monitor
  • Western Digital 5TB External Drive for Time Machine Backup
