Family sharing - entire Photos library - cannot get it to work

Bought 200GB iCloud on MacOS X High Sierra laptop and synced large photos library (80GB). Now want to share entire library with my partner (all on MacOSX High Sierra) - cannot get sharing to work - followed up all Apple support articles. NO results, a joined /shared Family album is not showing up nowhere. Any suggestions?

Sharing albums without editing, delete etc. options Just changed from Windows to Apple (Mac mini) and therefore also from OneDrive to iCloud. I'm an amateur photographer and shared a lot of albums with family and friends in OneDrive, where I had the possibility to choose to what extend could be done with the photo's. (Only look, for a limited period of time, edit, download.) I would like to share my albums again through iCloud but this seems only possible in a way that family and friends have the option to add, edit or even delete photos. And I absolutely don't want that. Am I missing certain configuration options or is this just how Apple designed it?

Sharing icloud library Hi guys....is there a way i can share the 27,000+ photos I have in my icloud to another person's Apple ID? I need to share all photos taken to date, but then not share anything going forward. Currently the 'family' MacBook is logged into my Apple ID and as such, any photo I take is still going through to that laptop. I need to share all photos now so we can then sign out of the MacBook on my ID and not share anything further. Thanks

Best way to access entire iCloud Photo Library for Family use? Hi, we recently decided to use iCloud for all our photo storage + backup. So we moved everything from the local drive to the cloud version, and we have iCloud/Family stuff all configured properly. We have 2 parents + 3 kids, all on shared plan. What works: Explicitly shared albums/photos On *MY* devices, but not others', access to the entire rest of the Library What I am *trying* to accomplish is: On *ALL* devices in the Family, access to the entire rest of the Library From reading, I can clearly put *everything* in the Shared > Family album, but (1) i believe I will run into the 5K pictures limit for a Shared album and (2) it still won't help with sub-albums/folders, etc. So, is there a way to accomplish my goal? Thanks!

@TonyCollinet, thanks, I really thought I can share the entire library... it seems to me one of the key features why one wants to use Family sharing.... Are you aware of 3rd party apps which can do the trick?

You can't share the entire library - you can only share a family album in the shared album section, and you have to manually put the images into that album.

I was disappointed with this also.
