Bigsur updating "Installation failed"

I have a 2019 macbook pro and I tried to update to big sur the past 6 days and each time it keeps telling me "Installation failed: An error has occured while installing the selected updates." I heard apple has fixed this but it still is not working for me.

Macbook Pro (Nov 2020) software update. I have Macbook Pro (Nov 2020). I tried the procedure above to update Big Sur, but after finishing the download (~4GB) I got an error message: "An error occurred while downloading the selected updates. Please check you internet connection." I tried downloading dozens of times and at different times of day. Still no luck. Can anybody help me?

Try installing this in Safe Mode...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup).
