Downgrade from macOS BigSur to macOS Catalina

I am experiencing a lot of issues with macOS BigSur. I want to downgrade to macOS Catalina. How do I do that?

MACOS Downgrade I need to downgrade my Catalina to Mojave because my Office does not run in Catalina . I can not upgrade from Catalina (where I could use Microsoft 365 I know that) because the machine does not support anything above Catalina (it is from 2012)

Downgrade from Catalina to Mojave How do I downgrade from Catalina to Mojave? Catalina is causing my computer to be slow so I want to downgrade to MacOS Mojave. I have reset the computer wiping out anything that is extra.

The very first step in the article explains you have to backup. That's because you have to erase the drive before you can downgrade. If you don't, everythng on the drive will be gone
