Inbox Missing! (not the messages; the whole inbox!)

Folks, the ALL ACCOUNTS Inbox is missing from the top of the left pane of my Apple Mail program. I mean, the whole Inbox option has literally disappeared from the menu. I am still seeing emails downloaded, but i have no idea how to get to them. Please help?
