Just upgraded to Big Sur & the fan on my macbook air runs constantly. Is this a thing now?

Fan keeps running I have noticed over the last several days that the fan on my MacBook Air runs most the time I am on the computer and very loud. This isn't normally how it does. Anything that I may be doing wrong?

i have this exact same problem. my fans would not stop working and it's been nearly 5 hours since I have installed the Big Sur update. MBP 2019.
