I wish to buy an iPad to watch movies without data or Wifi. Can I add an external hard drive to load on some movies to do this? Do I need anything else to make this work? Which Apple products would work best?

You can’t watch movies without WiFi or without any cellular data network free.you can put external hardware but you can’t watch movies free without network but you can watch without network by downloading(you can watch from your iPad also)

I have paid for prior to downloading) but it is more what tech do I need to be able to do this with an iPad. To be completely clear I wish to watch the iPad on a plane with no cellar data or wifi available.
