Big Sur fail

Getting this after the Big Sur download and before install starts. Upgrading Catalina.

Disk Utilities says all there is fine.

any ideas?

Thank you. That did it. I THOUGHT I tried that but it’s possible I didn’t get into Safe Mode on my first attempt. It’s possible I didn’t hold the shift key down long enough.

Try Installing from Safe Mode, which will muzzle any third-party add-ons that may be interfering.
