When I open windows in Finder, they are as desired.
When I open Finder windows via any application, they are always
sorted by tag. DO NOT WANT sorted by tag. Do what please?

I have this option when a program opens a window, but it wont uncheck !!
1) You are Grouping, not Sorting.
2) You cannot have nothing selected. For the Group options, select None.
3) You can Sort by holding down the Option key and clicking the same button.

If you hover over the button in Finder, it states as much.
But, that's what the Option key is for. It gives you Options to various functions.
Drop down a menu and then toggle the Option key. You should see the optional commands appear (if there are any).

well, yeah I'm very of that. Seemed this particular menu
was something that had no options! Should looked.
