The Community seems to think all you have to do is open a finder window and drag it to a larger size. That might work with your computer but my finder window ALWAYS reverts to its original tiny size.
Any suggestions?

I actually opened up finder and dragged the window to re-size while holding down on the option key then chose relaunch, that also did the trick, but if this happens again, ill try your method. I remember back when you could set the finder size with finder preferences.

You can try deleting…
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
then relaunching the Finder.
