my IPad Pro will not charge. What do I do

We had the same problem, went first to Apple where we had to wait a few days to get an appointment with a technician so we went to a trusted partner where they succeeded to charge the iPad with their cable. We later too by connecting another way (both ends are USB-c) where charging succeeded, but too slow (full charging took like 20 hours).
Perhaps it's coincidence, but the first time this happened we wanted to upgrade iOS. This done now as well and charging speed improved to more or less normal.
Later we decided to buy a new (original Apple) cable. Problem solved. Good luck & keep fingers crossed
