Do I also have to delete unwanted photos from Imports, as well as deleting them from Photos? Lots of extra work!

The photos should vanish from "Imports" as well, after you empty the Recently Deleted album.
Just to be sure, you have really deleted the photos from All Photos and not just removed them from an album?

If I delete pictures from Photos, why are they not deleted from Imports? And why are there duplicate Imports of these photos?
