I’ve tried multiple times but my Series 1 watch won’t update. My iPhone has been updated and the problem occurs at the verify stage after the download and the prepare are complete. I’ve tried restarting both devices. Any suggestions?

Hello rayf121 and welcome to Apple Support Communities. It appears you are having some difficulty updating a Series 1 Apple Watch. Try these steps:
1) Make sure the companion iPhone is updated to the most current version of iOS (14.1 at the time of this post).
2) Shut down both devices and the restart them one at a time and one immediately after the other.
3) If at all possible, try the update on a different Wi-Fi network.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, reach out directly to Apple Support for additional options.
