I'd like to know how to show the currently playing song in the Music app without isolating the album. In iTunes I used Command L but now that command shows the song in a new screen with the whole album, I don't need to see that. I use the app to organize large amounts of music and i often need to see the date I downloaded a track and the other tracks i downloaded during that same time. Is this still possible? Thanks

The result of CMD-L is in the view for where it lands. If the currently playing song is in a playlist set for Songs view, that is what you will see. If you have playlists set to different views, you may get different results.
If, like most serious music fans, you like to see the information about your songs, set your library and all playlists for View > As Songs. Among its other virtues, it will allow CMD-L to work acceptably.
Thanks for your reply! That works in playlists that I've created but i don't see that option in the view drop down menu when i hit command L. Here are my options.
