iPhone 12 pro battery draining quick

iPhone 12 pro battery is draining quickly and the phone is really hot. Even when I charge it with the 18w charger it doesn’t charge quickly. 20 min charge gave it like 8 percent more. Battery defective?

iPhone 12 PRO. i took the phone from the charger this morning, after a few minutes i realised the phone was getting hot. After less than 3 hours the battery was at 20%
