Trying to reinstall OS after erasing HD, and reinstall can not find a disk to install on to

I am trying to reinstall OS after erasing HD, and reinstall can not find a disk to install on to. I think I may have erased too much? But I did not "unmount" the HD

If you can boot to the Recovery HD, Restart the mac while pressing and holding the Command and R keys.

Open Disk Utility, press Continue.

In the left panel highlight the uppermost Disk not the indented Volume.

Click Erase.

Give the Disk a name.

Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

Scheme: GUID Partition Map

Click Erase.

When Done quit Disk Utility.

Now try Reinstall OS X
