Keyboard

First I want to explain I am a doctor and not an IT person. That said, please forgive my probable use of incorrect terms. Here we go...

months ago I was able to text people, and across the top portion of the keyboard area or shortcuts to items such as gifs, Bitmoji, etc. these were wonderful because they allowed me to quickly paste things into my text messages. Well, that row of shortcuts has completely disappeared. The only thing showing over the very top of my keyboard are the predictive word options.How do I get back the original Shortcuts bar?
