Apple TV App on Macbook Pro Catalina not streaming

My subscription to Apple TV is active and I cannot watch anything on my Macbook. All the shows start playing and stop after 8 seconds. Sometimes I get the "This programme is not available in your region", but most of the time I don't. It just stops playing.

Watching the same shows on my iPhone works perfectly.

Am I condemned to watch Apple TV on a phone then? Why doesn't it "just work"?
